As a self-proclaimed fantasy/sci-fi nerd, I chose the moniker that pays homage to the renowned Star Trek franchise. To me, it seemed fitting for the field of psychotherapy because the iconic phrase "To boldly go where no man has gone before" encapsulates the idea of exploring uncharted territories and embarking on a journey through the vast unknown. This resonates deeply with therapy, as we delve into the depths of our psyche, discovering things we may not have been aware of before.
In the process of exploring ourselves, we may encounter wondrous and fascinating discoveries, but also unsettling, alien, and unfamiliar emotions that we didn't know existed. Much like the Starship Enterprise, we face these uncharted waters with strength, courage, and resilience, as we navigate through the unknown, bravely confronting whatever lies ahead.

I identify as a Humanistic Psychotherapist, and I also incorporate various essential elements of psychodynamic therapy into my practice. This combination allows me to address the complexities of human experience and facilitate deeper emotional connections with my clients.
All of my work is rooted in attachment science, which suggests that our earliest experiences with our caregivers shape our ability to form and maintain healthy relationships throughout our lives. As children, we develop coping mechanisms to create a sense of safety in our relationships with others, which can continue to impact us as adults, leading to behaviors such as codependency, low self-esteem, avoidance, and people-pleasing.
My therapeutic style is warm, compassionate, and supportive, and I provide a safe space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions freely. I believe that by working together, we can help you build a stronger sense of self and develop more meaningful connections with those around you.

Private Pay Discount
Individual Therapy Session $140 per 50-minute session.
Couple/Relational Therapy: $180 per 55-minute session
I also accept OHP CareOregon/Healthshare insurance plans.
Note: Couple therapy is not covered by OHP and I only accept private pay for couple therapy.

Yes, I currently accept Oregon Health Plan (OHP) or Medicaid. This includes OHP CareOregon/Healthshare and OHP Open Card.
If I don’t accept your insurance I am also able to provide a monthly superbill as an out-of-network provider that you can provide to your insurance company to potentially be reimbursed for services rendered this, however, is not a guarantee.

I aim to help you understand and feel your emotions, even the hard ones, and discover why they are so intense. Therapy provides a safe place to confront your feelings directly, no matter how challenging they are. The goal isn’t just to feel better; it’s to learn to accept and work through your emotions without harmful reactions. In time, this builds your resilience and helps you manage strong feelings more effectively, reducing the urge to avoid them.
